SKALE Consensus is a highly secure, BFT consensus engine implemented in C++, aligned with the SKALE provable consensus specification. Its key features include provable security, forklessness, and single block finality, ensuring immediate block finalization upon commitment. It operates seamlessly under prolonged network disruptions using an asynchronous network model and maintains protocol stability with multiple block proposers per block, even when some proposers are offline. Active development and research continue to enhance its capabilities. The engine is optimized for Ubuntu 18.04 and later, with preferred setups on Ubuntu 22.04. Comprehensive installation involves multiple dependencies, and build instructions are available on the GitHub repository. Note that SKALE Consensus is in an alpha state under active development, containing bugs and subject to significant changes, and it is not yet security reviewed.
