Ceramic Anchor Service is a proof-of-concept anchor service implementation aligned with Ceramic’s specifications, designed to be blockchain-agnostic, with initial support for the Ethereum blockchain. Its architecture allows for the seamless addition of modules to integrate other blockchains, enhancing its versatility. Docker is employed to build and run the service, facilitating the deployment of the API in “server” mode and the anchor worker in “anchor” mode. For development and testing, Node.js (version 16) is required, with local installations of IPFS, Ganache, and Postgres. The comprehensive testing suite includes smart contract compilation and test execution, ensuring robust functionality. The codebase operates under dual Apache-2.0 and MIT licenses, encouraging community collaboration and contributions. Developed by 3Box Labs, the project underscores a commitment to advancing web3 infrastructure with open-source principles.
